Interactively-Defined-Function Optimization
Optimization of a user-defined function with N variables
Important: Supported in application mode only!
Interactively defined functions are not supported in applet mode, and cannot be run in browsers. This option is available only when GA Playground is run as an application.
Defining the function to be optimized:
- Enter/Modify a mathematical expression
- The expression can be arbitrarily long or complex
- Parameter Constraints can only be defined by numerical ranges
- Example of a function string: (x1*x2)/sin(x3)+tan(x4)...
- Fill all other entries
- Click the Update Button
- Go to the Execution Screen and click Start
- The defined problem can be saved by the File/Save Parameters menu command
